Do you, family members or carers find your child’s speech difficult to understand?
This 45 minute interactive information session will provide an overview of:
- Speech sound development
- What is a speech sound delay and disorder and possible causes
- Discussion on types of speech therapy techniques, in particular the PROMPT based therapy approach
- Video examples of PROMPT in action when supporting a child with speech delay.
This session is useful for parents, early childhood educators, preschool and school educators, maternal health nurses and paediatric specialists. This workshop is part of a series of workshops being offered by Kids Communicate in terms 3 and 4 (July-December).
